Hi everyone! My name is Juhaina. I am a student at Western University. I joined BoostHER because I wanted to support an organization that uplifts women in their careers and lifestyle. BoostHER is a group of visionary women who are committed to promoting gender equity for females in both professional and academic settings. The team provides a variety of resources to empower women, including opportunities to connect and offer mutual support. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to be a part of the blog writing team for BoostHER’s education portfolio.
A bit about myself; learning more about popular culture has always been a passion of mine. One of my favorite courses was the history of American pop culture. Growing up as a child of immigrants, there were so many pop culture references that I didn't understand. Watching television became a way for me to understand the world and learn about the culture throughout the years. Two of my favorite shows are Modern Family and Superstore. Ultimately, I believe that learning about anything can be fun and interesting, as it helps you better understand the world around you.
In terms of writing, I am most passionate about exploring the history and socially-relevant events that have shaped the lives of women and the world overall. There is so much to learn from the past and how it has influenced the present. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to write blog posts for this team and share my insights!
